I have been country couples dancing for over 30 years learning proficiency in:

- West Coast Swing
- Nightclub Two-Step
- Hustle
- Country Swing
When you become a dance enthusiast, you want to dance every song! This is how you pick up so many dances in a country bar - a song has phrasing and rhythm that works only for each of the dances above.
Then occasionally a song like "Why Haven't I Heard From You", by Reba McEntire, would come on that fit nothing anybody knew. When I asked what dance you could do to it, I was told "this is a West Coast Swing". And that's how it started for me. I listen to "Why Haven't I Heard from You" now and it still shouts WEST COAST SWING!
In the past decade, I've travelled to scores of West Coast Swing events, taken tons of workshops, private lessons, intensives and dance camps, and competed extensively. I have participated in performances, and danced ‘til dawn 🙂 My Photo Gallery shows how much fun there is to be had!
I am now dancing at the Intermediate level in West Coast Swing competition.
For four years I was Event Director for the Toronto Open Swing and Hustle Championships.
